Ecotrust Canada’s Green and Culturally Appropriate Building Design project is the subject of the third video in the Real Estate Foundation’s Project Spotlight Series. We very much appreciate their willingness to work with us to produce this video and highlight a successful Foundation funded initiative.

In the video, Eli Enns, narrator and Business Development Liaison with Ecotrust Canada, describes the current First Nations housing crisis. He also explains how Ecotrust Canada is working with Nuu-chah-nulth communities and other partners to address the crisis and achieve social, economic, cultural and environmental benefits for west coast Vancouver Island communities.

The Foundation has awarded two grants for different phases of the work ($35,000 in 2010; $60,000 in 2011), which addresses important real estate and land use related issues in a manner that is well thought out and professionally implemented.
