The Real Estate Foundation of BC has made a submission to the Provincial Government on the recently released Water Sustainability Act Legislative Proposal.
Our interest in the Water Act is closely tied to the Foundation’s interest in supporting real estate and land use practices that contribute to resilient, healthy communities and natural systems. We see a vital link between healthy watersheds, and healthy landscapes and communities.
British Columbia’s current Water Act was established over 100 years ago, and is no longer adequate to address our growing population, development pressures and a changing climate.
How to get involved
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to provide feedback on the Water Sustainability Act (WSA) and promote better water management for generations to come.
We encourage you to:
- Read our submission, and others at the BC government’s WSA website.
- Submit your own feedback by November 15, 2013.
- Join the conversation on Twitter and Facebook, using the hashtag #bcwater.
