To conduct research on transportation planning models and built forms that support cycling, transit use, and walkability in small and rural communities.

For a water stewardship project to prepare Ktunaxa youth to act as caretakers and decision makers according to Ktunaxa understanding of land and water.

To support the Okanagan Collaborative Conservation Program (OCCP) to increase capacity for conservation work. The OCCP includes 36 partners working to integrate conservation and biodiversity research into land use planning, increase engagement with community partners, and work with all levels of government to strengthen policies and regulations.

To work with health authorities and local governments to prepare and share case studies demonstrating best practices for adding green infrastructure (trees, plants, wetlands) to neighbourhood plans. Green infrastructure helps to beautify streets, store carbon, manage stormwater, and clean and cool the air.

To increase capacity for high performance building construction through education, training, tools, and programs on energy-efficient building techniques. BCIT's training will emphasize envelope-first approaches that meet higher levels of the BC Energy Step Code.

To hire a full-time coordinator to support the Housing Research Collaborative, a research and policy hub that connects organizations with researchers and housing data. Funding will also support workshops, analysis of existing policies, and the creation of a data portal.

To create a land use decision framework that incorporates ecosystem services and traditional knowledge. The framework will help the Sekw?el?was make informed, evidence-based land use decisions in their traditional territory.

To bring Vancouver Island municipalities together with other experts (First Nations, businesses, academics, and developers) to assess future impacts of climate change and develop adaptation strategies. By planning together, communities will be better prepared to identify interdependencies and develop realistic implementation plans.

To develop a framework and implementation strategy for an open-source data hub on water health in the Columbia Basin. Living Lakes Canada will work with partners to determine where monitoring is needed, how data will be managed, and who is responsible for the hub.

To work with coastal communities to educate municipal staff, residents, and property owners about the impacts of sea level rise and the resources (funding, maps) available to help communities adapt and mitigate damage.

To launch a Civic Academy to help alliance members (community groups, labour organizations, faith and educational institutions) learn about and develop community land trusts for affordable housing.

To work with Quality Urban Energy Systems of Tomorrow (QUEST) to develop and test a Smart Energy Communities Scorecard in seven pilot communities.

To support the South Okanagan Similkameen Conservation Program (SOSCP) to deliver conservation and sustainable land use planning for the region. Specifically, the SOSCP will work to establish a conservation fund, implement a biodiversity conservation strategy, deliver workshops for local governments, and manage partnerships between organizations working towards shared biodiversity goals.

To work with the Gitwangak to complete and implement an ecosystem-based land use plan. Project partners will develop a framework for a comprehensive resource management database and work with the provincial government to incorporate their land use plan into law.

To develop a Water Wise program to identify issues affecting the Fraser River watershed. Program leaders will work with local farmers to develop strategies for conserving water and mitigating agricultural impacts on the watershed.

To convene builders, planners, researchers, policy makers and real estate professionals for a one-day summit on small housing. This will include sharing opportunities and challenges from the experiences of partnering municipalities who have explored small housing development options.

To develop a land management plan for the Dasiqox Tribal Park, a proposed land, water, and wildlife management area in traditional Tŝilhqot'in territory.

To conduct a needs assessment to plan education and training programs for the BC construction industry. The assessment will review changing codes and policies, best practices from other provinces, and an evaluation of current education offerings.

To identify and build support for land use planning, policies, and conservation designations to help protect and restore ecosystems and ensure habitat connectivity in the Peace region.

To subsidize travel costs for delivering professional education programs for REALTORS® in remote areas. The Board will provide additional training and support to assist members with recent regulatory changes.

To engage community members and work with local governments across the Syilx territory to complete a flood risk assessment for the Okanagan Basin.

To partner with Selkirk College to collate property-specific data (water licenses, power lines, septic systems, etc.) from local governments and community organizations into a new, widely accessible digital platform. Relevant data will be linked to KREB's multiple listing service (MLS), which informs REALTORS® and buyers.

For work with regional districts in the Kootenays to support conservation practices on private lands. NTBC will assess needs and gaps, create a central hub for conservation resources, and poll residents to gauge support for a Local Conservation Fund.

To update and enhance the Canadian Rental Housing Index, an online tool for analyzing rental housing costs and needs by census area. BCNPHA will add 2016 census and homeless count data and will add reporting functionality.

For a study on the effects of supply and demand on Metro Vancouver's housing market. The study will model the impacts of adding supply, reducing permitting times, and other actions.

To partner with the UBC School of Community and Regional Planning to develop a community regional transportation strategy that helps residents access jobs, essential services, and recreational opportunities.

To develop an energy benchmarking program with online tools that enable non-profit housing providers to better understand their energy use and maintenance needs and create a business case for capital planning and asset management.
