Transformative Actions

How Can REFBC Advance UNDRIP?

Presented by the Real Estate Foundation of BC and Hlimoo Sustainable Solutions

Recorded on February 8, 2024

As a philanthropic organization, the Real Estate Foundation of BC (REFBC) is on a journey of truth and reconciliation.

We are committed to transforming our grantmaking, operations, and governance to align with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).

We are excited to share a draft report, Transformative Actions for UNDRIP Advancement (TAUA).

Prepared by Tara Marsden/Naxginkw of Hlimoo Sustainable Solutions (REFBC’s first UNDRIP Fellow), the draft action plan outlines how the articles of UNDRIP relate to REFBC’s work.

Most importantly, the TAUA identifies 50 actions in support of UNDRIP implementation for REFBC consider.

Watch our webinar for an introduction to the TAUA.

We have additional engagement options for First Nations. Please contact undrip@refbc.ca to make arrangements.
